There are very few workouts known better for their total body intensity than boxing. At RUMI MAKI, we combine the highest levels of knowledge of this intense sport with the best practices in fitness science to provide workouts designed to produce the results you want.
We offer four different levels of boxing training at RUMI MAKI, beginning with a kids’ class that offers an introduction to boxing movements and high-energy training activities designed to develop their physical aptitudes in areas such as reaction, flexibility, coordination, and speed.
For adults, we offer a beginning boxing class that combines basic technical instruction focusing on coordination with fun and challenging ways to burn calories and build muscle.
The advanced boxing class we offer provides all of the benefits of the beginning but pushes the physical limits for people who are interested in pursuing boxing as a serious athletic endeavor or want to prepare for the physical challenge of sparring.
Finally, we are fully prepared to offer elite athlete training for students who are interested in serious amateur competition or pursuing a career in professional boxing. RUMI MAKI is proud to be the home of two Chicago Golden Gloves amateur champions.
